Adepa Family Plan

Adepa Family Plan is a funeral insurance cover that begins immediately after accidental death. It offers a 20% guaranteed premium for every 60 months (5 years). There are no premium payments upon retirement and also upon death of the policyholder

Business

Purple Employee Plan

This is aimed at protecting the well being of staff. The Purple Employee Plan offers a 24 hour protection to employees throughout their employment. This comprehensive plan covers the following for employees.

  • Death (Natural and Accidental)
  • Total and Permanent Disability
  • Accidental Total Partial Disability
  • Accidental Temporary Disability
  • Accident Medical Reimbursement
  • Critical Illness 
  • Health Screening
  • Purple Monthly Grocery Plan

Credit Life Protection Plan

This is for lending institutions. This is to help them recover loans from defaulting borrowers. The description on Hollard’s website sufficiently explains this plan.

The business of lending money is often fraught with a number of challenges which often prevent borrowers from paying back. 

Banks and Credit institutions, as part of their core business of granting loans to their clients can mitigate some of these risks by taking up the Hollard Life Credit Life Protection Plan. This Plan enables these institutions to recover loans which may otherwise may have been impossible because of the occurrence of such risks.

Mebanbo

Hollard Insurance MeBanbo cover

MeBanbɔ is an affordable life insurance cover for all Ghanaians. It guarantees a benefit (sum assured) to a stated beneficiary in the event of death (funeral cover) or accidental disablement of the insured.

This cover is in partnership with Vodafone. To register for MeBanbɔ on your Vodafone mobile number, simply dial *269# and follow the instructions thereafter. You must ensure that you have sufficient funds in your Vodafone Cash wallet to cover your first premium and activate your policy.

Claims

Claims can be submitted at all Vodafone Service Centers or Hollard Insurance outlets. They must be submitted as soon as possible from the insured person’s death to ensure processing within reasonable time.

The following documents are required to process the claim:

  • Certified copies of the Death Certificate
  • Mortuary Certificate and/or Receipts;
  • Medical Certificate of the Cause of Death (if the deceased died in hospital);
  • Police Report (in the case of unnatural causes of death);
  • Deceased’s proof of identity;
  • Beneficiary’s proof of identity;
  • Proof of Relationship
  • Where a death certificate or medical certificate of cause of death has not been submitted with the initial claim, it MUST be submitted to us within 30 (thirty) days from date of filing the claim to enable us pay the claim.

Upon receipt of the claim, the Insurer will review the authenticity of the documents received and status of the Insured. This process will amongst other verification processes include communication with the beneficiary before a claim is approved or rejected.

The claim pay-out will be within 72 (seventy-two) hours after submission of all documents.

Where a death certificate has not been submitted with the initial Claim, it MUST be submitted to the Insurer within 180 days from date of death.
